Christmas Eve

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.  Our Christmas turned out really well.  The kids got really nice gifts from both family and Santa.  Those of you who look at my blog I would like to say thank you again. 
Christmas Eve was spent at my Nana's, where we opened presents and munched on yummy foods.

They both received ornaments this is what Mary's looked like.  I didn't get a chance to get a pic of Lexi's or the beautiful one that Reese and I received for our 3rd year together.  I will have to take pictures of those and post them later.

Christmas is almost here

Hi, everyone.  Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday.  It's been super busy around here.  Especially this week.  I've worked my usual two days in a row this week and then today I have a doctors appointment to go to.  Here are the pictures I told you about on Monday.
Lexi loves to do yoga.  So my Aunt Cathy brought her a kids yoga book.

Here my babies are being sweet again.  They are a lovey little pair.  Hopefully Racheal, the new little one who will be here around March, will adopt that loveliness too.

Singing Christmas Tree 2011

     Sunday's Post is here.  Sorry I'm late. Anyways, Lexi had her Singing Christmas Tree program.  I must say that everyone did a wonderful job.  
     Mary decided to dress up like her daddy before the program.  She loves putting on his hat, but it all good cause she just too cute.

Almost Christmas.....

     Here are some pictures that I took on Saturday.  Remember I told you guys that I would be going to a local yarn shop that I found.  Well, I did and it was wonderful.  It was just like entering a whole new world. There were so many different fibers, textures and colors to choose from.  It was almost overwhelming but I liked it.  LOL! 
I picked up some yarn to start my first lace project with.  After Christmas I may stop back in and pickup a set of lace circulars.

The yarn in the pictures are fingerling weight, 210 yds., 70% Baby Alpaca and 30% silk.  From Marks & Kattens.  Shade 708.  
This is the first time I've ventured out of my comfort zone in fibers.  I absolutely love the way this yarn feels.  It's so soft.
     I could go on and on about yarn but I'm not so now I'll post some pictures of my babies. Mary loves to draw in case you couldn't tell by the intense concentration. 

 The next pictures are of the projects that Lexi gets to do on Saturday mornings with Reese.  She calls it her daddy dates. LOL. Here is a game that she built.  

 These are the whole collection.  Well, minus one because I forgot to get a picture of the bank that she made.  I'll have to post that later.  She hammered the nails and put the stickers on. 

 There was suppose to be an engine to complete the train but she didn't get to make that.  But we can get the kits after Christmas.  Which we plan to do.

9 Days til.....You Know What....Christmas!

     Hi all lovely people out there in blog land.  Ok it is officially 9 Days til Christmas.  We are so behind.  Our tree isn't even up yet. I don't even want to think about all the stuff I wanted to have knitted or crocheted before now that I've decided will just not be done for Christmas. Oh, well.
     Anyways, This past Wednesday was my birthday.  My DH, being the thoughtful person he tends to be, planned a surprise for me.  Which included the girls being taken to their great Grandmother's long enough for us to have dinner together at a place called the Italy Cafe'.  Which was really good by the way.  Then if that wasn't enough, he had ordered the dress that I wore and another shirt for me to wear whenever.  Both maternity/nursing and from Old Navy.  I'll have to include pictures of them later.
     Yesterday Lexi decided that she would take a cold.  Now she's coughing and all stuffed up, but she feeling better today.  Hopefully we'll get this thing knocked out by Sunday.  Her kindergarten Sunday school group will be lighting the advent candle this Sunday at church.  She has scripture that she will get to read.  She's very excited, then she's singing at the Singing Christmas Tree concert that night.  I'll be posting videos of that as well.  I can't wait.
     Today we've been cleaning and trying to get a place to put our tree.  Hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures of it soon.
Here is the reason why I get to post pictures now.  My mother and father-in-laws gave me my birthday present today which included this...

 It's a Nikon Coolpix S4100.  With touch screen monitor, wide 5x zoom, and 14 megapixels.
The other camera I'd been using was a HP Photosmart M527. With a 2in. LCD screen and only 6 megapixel pictures. 
I've done a little experiment to see the difference.  I've taken some pictures with the HP and some of the same shots with the Nikon. Here are the results:

New beginnings and New projects!

     Hello everyone, I'm sorry I've not been on it a while.  A lot has happened while I was away.  I've still not gotten my camera fixed yet. So sorry to say no pictures.  
     First, we are going to have a new addition to the family.  Another little baby girl.  She will arrive sometime around March 15, 2012.  Lexi will be starting school next year and Mary will be hopefully sleeping well in her own bed.  
     Second, I have new job.  I will be a breastfeeding peer counselor, which means I'll be helping give support to new breastfeeding mothers and babies.  Hopefully giving both the best start they can get.  I'm very excited.  The children seem to be adjusting well to the changes.  Which was a big relief on my part. 
     Third, my DH, Reese, has started a new job as well.  Which has brought his stress levels way down.  He is now working full time on his parents dairy farm.  Which is something that he's been wanting to do forever.  He was a mechanic for John Deere for about six years so he's happy about the change in pace.
     Fourthly, I've finished a lot of my WIPs. I'm so excited.  I'll have to take pictures of them with my DH's phone and post them. My current WIPs are a pair of socks and a pair of ribby wrist warmers.  I also plan to make a sweater, hat, and pair of booties for my new baby girl. For Lexi and Mary I plan to make some hats as well. 
     All in all, I feel that God has blessed us greatly.  To all who read and those who don't I wish everyone a happy Saturday.
